To ensure access to eye care in the most remote villages, a Mobile Operation Theater has been planned to perform cataract surgeries at the doorstep of patients who are unable or afraid to visit hospitals. This innovative unit will help restore vision to those living in underserved areas. The project has received grant approval and is expected to become operational in 2025–26, following final clearance from the Gujarat Government.
