We, Swami Vivekanand Netra Mandir Trust are one family
Our vision at Project Drashti, inspired by the ideals of patriotism and social service embodied by Shri Swami Vivekananda, is to eradicate preventable blindness by addressing barriers such as lack of access, awareness, affordability, and fear of treatment. We aim to provide high-quality treatments to 80% of individuals suffering from blindness, fostering self-sufficiency and spreading happiness within their families.
For the remaining 20%, we aspire to empower them through educational and vocational training, ensuring their financial independence.
Through our dedication, we envision a world where every individual has the opportunity to live a life filled with vision, dignity, and fulfillment.

In 2022 Swami Vivekanand Netra Mandir Trust was established to serve humanity at SUPA (Gurukul), Navsari.
Today, the world has 775 crore population out of which 4 crore 90 lakh people are blind due to any reason. Out of that 3 crore 93 lakh people are living with preventable blindness. If they get timely treatment then they can also see this beautiful world.
With about 45 million visually impaired and 15 million blind in both eyes, India has the largest population of blind people in the world.
To eliminate this huge quantum of blindness, Akhand Jyoti has committed to performing over 120,000 free eye surgeries annually till 2025, which would be achieved by increasing its existing surgical output by 4X times.
SVNM Trust has decided to reach the unreached and provide the highest quality eye care and enable them to see the world’s beauty.
For that, we have started the journey towards the fight against PREVENTABLE BLINDNESS with the name of “PROJECT DRISHTI” in collaboration with Swami Vivekanand Netra Mandir Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Surat.
Presently SVNM has 2 surgical centers, together performing around 4000+ surgeries annually, out of which around 1500 are done free for the poor.”
We have started an eye hospital at no cost to the patient in the porta cabin at SUPA where we have started providing eye services to the patient.
Building the 1st of its kind Centre of Excellence in eye care in South Gujarat, live by October 2025. A 500-bed, India’s largest standalone eye hospital for all specialty eye services, with 21 operation theaters, and an academic and research wing, increasing SVNM’s overall annual surgical output is 120,000 surgeries.
